Roses are Red: An Experiment in Dramatic Lighting (Part 1)
It's amazing what a difference a shift in lighting can do in a photograph. I turned off all sources of light and with nothing more than a desk lamp (no fancy lighting equipment necessary) I experimented with light on my subject: red roses. How would the rose look lighted from this angle? From underneath or above? These are some of the images that came from this lighting experiment, I love the moodiness of the last few.
